Most important for Henry's concept of good architecture is that it does not consciously follow a fashion and is not constrained by a style. After practicing architecture for more than 30 years, he still gets immense pleasure from seeing a building he has designed reflect the personalities of those it has been designed for. For Henry, good architecture springs from the nature of it's materials, the quality of it's site and the methods of it's production.
In 2011 he decided that change was essential to keep his practice vibrant and his creativity flowing. He and his wife fulfilled his life-long dream, bought a sailing boat in Greece, and set off for an epic sailing adventure in the Med. He now divides his time between Johannesburg, the Garden Route and the Med.
